Chairperson Longbine opened the hearing on SB339. Eileen Ma, (ROS) presented the Revisor's Memorandum Brief and stood for questions. There were none. (Attachment 3)
Eric Turek, Director of Government and Public Affairs, Kansas Insurance Department, was the only proponent on this bill requested by KID. He explained that this is a yearly request that updates the version of risk-based capital instructions that are a set of national accreditation standards used by KID. The bill also updates the date to the December 31, 2023 version of the instructions. (Attachment 4) Mr. Turek answered a question from Senator Fagg.
There being no other questions, and no other proponent, opponent, or neutral testimony submitted, Chairperson Longbine closed the hearing on SB339.
